Our dedicated volunteers provide incredible service to our organization and to the individuals we serve.

Make A Difference For Good

Volunteers are the heart of HERO! Our dedicated volunteers provide important support needed for our day-to-day operations. HERO moves thousands of pounds of medical supplies, instruments, equipment, and other health-related products each year. We would not be able to serve our local and global missions without help from our volunteers to complete these tasks.

General Labor Volunteer

Opportunities for individuals and groups include helping in the warehouse, storefront, office, and community and fundraising events.

Warehouse Assistant Volunteer

We are currently seeking a FT or PT Volunteer Warehouse Assistant for additional warehouse support. Tasks include everything from loading and unloading supplies to general equipment repair.

Truck Driver Volunteer

We are currently seeking a FT or PT Volunteer Truck driver for local donation pick-ups and deliveries. Tasks will include driving and lifting. Must have clean driving record and current insurance.

I've been a volunteer at Hero for 23+ years. I have seen the tremendous growth of Hero. Being involved with Hero, I feel pride in being part of the recycling and low cost/no cost donations locally and globally to those in need. As I walk into Hero to volunteer, I love seeing people shopping in the retail store. I shop there for my mom too. The Hero employees and volunteers have become friends and family.

For the past 13 years I have been involved with HERO serving as a volunteer. In that capacity I work on a team that sorts donated medical equipment and supplies. We repack items to be distributed worldwide and also clean and prepare items for sale in HERO's retail center. This activity has been foundational in giving a purpose to my retirement years.
