By collecting supplies that would otherwise be thrown in area landfills, HERO saved over 152,000 pounds of supplies in 2012 alone. These supplies found new life by helping those in need.
We also saved energy, conserved natural resources, and limited pollution by not having to make more of these items out of new materials.
