In order to redistribute supplies, HERO first needs donations of usable healthcare supplies and medical equipment. Your donations are crucial for HERO to meet the needs of others.
HERO can accept:
Any usable piece of medical equipment or healthcare supplies such as:- Mobility and Rehab
- Personal Hygiene Items
- Wound Care
- Incontinence Supplies
- Linens
- Scrubs
- Sterile Surgical Instruments
- Medical Equipment
- Old cell phones & ipod/mp3 players
HERO cannot accept:
- Prescription medications of any kind
- Exposed needles
- Outdated supplies
- Open or partially used personal hygiene supplies
- Items used for a patient who was quarantined or kept in isolation
- Fabric mattresses
- Equipment that is soiled or broken
- Supplies from individuals who have had VRE or MRSA

Preparing your donation
To assist in redistributing your donations of medical items, please consider the following:
- Be sure your equipment donations have been cleaned recently and are in good working condition
- Do not disassemble equipment, particularly heavy items such as hospital beds
- Include all accessories with equipment, including power cords, patient cables, transducers, spare parts, and operation and service manuals
- Medical supplies can be sorted by type and placed in separate plastic bags or boxes
- HERO staff is unable to pick up or deliver donations due to limited resources
All donations are tax deductible as a nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable contribution
