Item of the Week: Skin Protectant

Posted on July 16, 2012 by heroadmin in News No Comments

Do you need a well-balanced meal for your skin cells?

Skin protectant helps to nourish skin, treat the symptoms of diaper rash, chapped or cracked skin, wet and irritated skin, and irritation caused by prolonged exposure to moisture.

Imagine the pain of consistently dry and cracked skin on your hands. Each click of your mouse or stroke of your pen is one more movement that adds to the irritation. You try and alleviate the rash with running water, ice packs, regular lotion, but nothing helps. What you really need is a strong but non-allergenic skin protectant.

HERO just received a donation of three types of brand new skin protectants:

  1. Soothe & Cool Free: Moisture Barrier Ointment- has aloe, vitamins A, D, & E. It helps protect minor cuts, scrapes, burns, chapped/cracked skin, and helps protect against the drying effects of wind and cold. It’s a clear and unscented gel formula. Typically sold in a case of 12 at $3.00 each, HERO sells them separate at only $2.00 each!
  2. Remedy with Olivamine: Clear-Aid Skin Protectant Ointment- has antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and MSM. It’s used to prevent and relieve chapped or cracked skin and helps protect minor cuts and burns. It’s a clear gel with a mild citrus scent. It’s originally $6.99, but at HERO the suggested fee is $3.00!
  3. Remedy with Phytoplex: Z-Guard Skin Protectant Paste- It helps treat and prevent diaper rash, temporarily protects and helps relieve chapped or cracked skin and protects minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It is a thick white cream with a mild scent. It’s originally $4.49, but at HERO the suggested fee is $3.00!

Keep in mind, any wound care or personal hygiene item that someone is unable to afford, HERO will waive the suggested handling fees. This is possible because of the generous gifts of grants, businesses, and individual supporters. Thank you to those who allow us to provide these needed items to our community.
